Does your government offer privileges, discounts, etc to the Senior Citizens of your country? In my country, Senior Citizens enjoy discounts when buying medications, food, when travelling, etc. They are also provided monthly financial assistance by our local governments particularly in my city. I've just turned 60 years old last two months ago so I'm now officially a Senior Citizen !

@marina Yes I agree! A Senior Citizen can watch a movie for free. Hospital bills are so much lower as soon as you become a Senior. There is so much freedom when were Seniors ... life begins!!!

Yes in my country they get discount like on the tickets that are booked of railways. In banks too they get more interest on FDs. Apart from it they are given discounts on many other places. Congrats for you getting in the category of senior citizens

Oh how sad @roadwarrior62 After selflessly dedicating your lives to your country and family for 65 years and more you deserve to be treated with love and respect.

@hate2Iron Yes I agree Life as a Senior keeps getting better. Here Seniors who reach the age of 100 years old receive a cash gift from our local government worth 100 thousand pesos. They are called the Centenarians. Most of them if not all get to enjoy to the fullest their cash gift.

Looking forward to my own senior citizenshop, Carmela. I still have a year to go. While many women dread getting older, you however take aging as a life of privilege. :)

@Junbals Yes I agree fr Jun that there are women who care so much about how they look that they find it difficult to embrace aging. While it's absolutely possible to alter our physical appearance to make it look so much younger than our age but our birth certificates will never lie.
