Why is it so?

My husband has no work today of course but we've got up so early. I notice that when there is no work the following day because of holiday or what, we tend to get up so early even if we go to bed so late at night. And when you need to get up as early as 4am because of important things, you cannot sleep at night so the result, you will be so sleepy the following day. are you like this too?

I woke up so early because the taxi drivers are so loud early in the morning. I slept late last night and thinking that I can sleep more in the morning. With this situation, I need to sleep later in the afternoon.

Jay loves to stay up late watching television. I can't do this! We both get up early each morning, whether he has to go to work or not. I never sleep in!

My husband is. Me, my body tends to go with the flow of what it needs. It was nice that hubby got to go in a little later today.

Today is probably one of the few days when I got up at 6:15 in the morning. I would usually up at 5 to 5:30. I always wake up early with or without an alarm clock. I usually sleep at 10 to 11 PM because that is the time when I feel sleepy. I don't want to keep awake because I might not be able to sleep after that. Thanks to the holiday! I feel so refreshed. Happy holidays!

@Janet357 As of now, because we decided to rent near my workplace, it only take me around 10 minutes to reach my office. Though sometimes I would still consider the time because I need to drive my daughter to the school where she is teaching.

thank you. By the way, is your workplace far from you so that you have to wake up that early?

Yes, and I hate it. I already plan to sleep in today, but even though I do not have an alarm clock set this morning, I still woke up early. I did try to sleep still, but since my husband has to work today I just decided to get up and join him for coffee. Tomorrow, he is officially on Christmas break. I will start the cooking early so we can enjoy our Christmas Eve dinner, start on the movies, and maybe if the weather decided to be good tomorrow, we'll take a walk.

If we have to leave early or be up at 4 a.m. I would just stay up. There is know way I'd sleep so I'd be looking for something to do.

I usually wake up around mid morning to do some housecleaning before going to work on doing surveys, writing good news stories on this site before going to be at night through the day.

Thank you. I don't celebrate Christmas though because I have learned from the bible that December 25 is not the birth of Jesus.

When I was working and important matters had to be resolved I used to be extra alert. Now as I am retired that phase is over. I just want to sleep without worrying.

@Janet357 I have trouble sleeping anyway, but, if I take a nap during the day then I for sure have trouble sleeping at night. I have days when I have to get up early and that really does not mean anything about sleeping at night.
