Got Invited to the Movies

I am not the biggest movie goer out there but it is usually around Christmas when, if I do go to a theater, I would go. Of course the pandemic situation has changed all of that and I had and have no intentions of going, which is what surprised me when we were invited to go this evening with some friends.
I was not even sure how to respond, and surprised people are going and then more surprised they are inviting others. It was very nice of them, but we passed just given the whole mess of a situation.
They have always been the support local type of people who like to go out, and I guess they are willing to take their chances. They might end up having the theater to themselves.
Maybe some other time when things are less crazy.

Since the city of Lake Charles has two theaters available, my relatives interest in seeing movies is on hold right now.

I'm amazed people still go to the movies. Going to the theater has been a dying art and some box offices aren't doing quite as well as they used to.

I really miss going to the cinema to watch a movie. It's been a long time even before the Corona pandemic I didn't go to the movies. I used to go to the movies when I was a teenager. But now it's not anymore because there isn't a single cinema in my city, even though there were 2. You have to go to another city that is 1 hour away to get to the cinema.

I love going to the movies. I haven’t gone ever since the pandemic started. That’s like 10 months or more now I think.
