How many of you mess the day where you watch a program and talked about it with your family and friends when it was over. I'm talking back before DVR;s, you watched it when it aired. Well yesterday my youngest son and I started talking about the "Big Sky" and my oldest son was there, well my youngest son said, " oh we can't talk about it, he hasn't seen all of them.Because my oldest son has been putting it off watching the show, I felt like saying "so what, he's had his chance to watch it! ' So in some ways I feel like DVR's has taken away from how it used to be, since people wait so long to watch an episode because it can be recorded. How do ya'll feel about it.

It's a sign of the times. It's not just DVR's, (those have restrictions and limits) but streaming services too. DOn't get me wrong, I adore them. Can't live without my Roku. However, I can look back and appreciate live television and watching something when it aired. Despite being still is to blame for raising obesedity rates... But, being able to watch television on your own schedule has it's own appeal, too.

I stopped saving/taping shows years ago--most of the time I never got around to watching them!

That's true. In my case I've recorded so many I don't know where to start in selecting which one to watch. And many just sit there collecting space
