Early Christmas Gift

About a week before Christmas, my husband gave me my Christmas gift. I have been without a stove for almost 9 months. I have been cooking on a hot plate and portable oven. So when the Christmas bonus came in, he went and bought me a stove. I was so excited to be able to cook a decent meal for our family Christmas luncheon. He kept apologizing because there was nothing under the tree for me from him. However, I had plenty of gifts from my kids and my gift from him was to be able to prepare a big family meal. I told him, my gift was him and that was a gift for every day. I am blessed with a wonderful family. Share one of your greatest memories for this year.

That was a lovely generous gift. I can imagine how thrilled you were. It is not easy cooking without a proper stove.

That was so sweet of him, and I am glad that you were able to get a new and working stove. There are lots of memories for me this year, some good and some bad. But I think the ones that stand up the most are when my husband and I always work things out despite tensions and bad stuff happening around us.
