Centipede attack

I was preparing for tomorrow's lunch when Lala was excited about something. The other cats were just watching. Then I saw the centipede. I was afraid Lala going to be sting by it. She's a good hunter, I know. But this part of me was still worried. So I grabbed the broom near them to chase the centipede away. Bad move, the centipede was on the broom and fell on my foot. So...I killed it with the broom. Smash it repeatedly. No longer look like centipede. Okay, I was panic at the time! What was I supposed to do when that thing fell on me? I just toss the centipede out. Lala was still sniffing around, probably searching for something that's not there anymore.

I see centipedes here also from time to time but it's not venomous as we think but as my mother had said, its bite is very painful and may trigger allergy.

When I see a centipede I will kill him, this option is safer than throwing it away and he will come back into the house, maybe there can be pinched? who knows right. but my instinct tells me that this centipede bite and spit out venom even though the danger is small, oh do you know an effective way to kill centipedes? I want to know too

I would prefer to toss them out instead of killing it. I have no effective way to kill them. Not something I would do on regular basis.

What danger comes from a centipede? Why did you kill it and not only throw it out? You could have made it crawl on a sheet of paper and then throw it out of the window. I do this with spiders.

Have you seen how fast they move?

@prinzcy No, I haven't. But why is it ok to kill an insect because it moves fast? What does it do to humans is what I'd like to know.

@MALUSE because they bite you as well. I don't kill insect for no reason, unless I feel threaten. Sometime I even toss scorpion out. Same goes for snakes. There are number of times they were loss and came into the house.

In my country there are two types of centipedes, one that is very small and when in contact with it, it rolls very funny and not completely harmless, instead there is another that is very large with a terrifying appearance and that bites and injects poison is very dangerous and if it saw me In that situation I would also kill him first because in my country there are no antidotes for snake bites less than centipedes ... Of course, if that centipede is in his room and I am the invader, I would not do anything to him.

We have both type here. But the ones around my house are normally the ones with venom. The red and move really fast ones. Back then there were the ones that red and really huge. They would climbed the wall. I haven't seen that type for so long and do not wish to see them again.

Most centipedes I see here will bite you when they feel threaten. It's not as venomous as snake but can be deadly to certain people.

You did the right thing or else it would have definitely stung you . Striking it with a broom was a bad idea though.
