Freddie Booth who is a lifeguard in Hawaii is being praised for saving the life of a young lady who took a chance to swim into the ocean during a high tide of eight feet on Friday. Freddie was on patrol at Ke Iki Beach in North Oahu Hawaii on Friday when he saw the young lady whose name was not released to the public when she was caught in a riptide. Freddie took action by running into the ocean to grab the young lady out of danger and struggling for three minutes to swim to the shore due to the high tides. After the rescue mission was finished, I am sure that the young lady thanked Freddie for rescuing her. I am sure that the young lady learned her lesson not to try to swim in the ocean during a high tide again since there is no guarantee that a lifeguard will be there to save her life the next time. I am also sure that Freddie will receive an award for his act of bravery to save the life of a swimmer in a beach in the near future by his superiors at Ocean Safety.

Hopefully she learns from it, but not everyone does or will. Ah, well. I am sure it's good that bothare okay and she got rescued in time.

What I know about young persons according to a law enforcement officer is that when they are teens or college age years, they feel invincible.

@Deepizzaguy Most of them are, yes. I'll give you that. Rarely do they slow down until life forces them to.

Some people really take their lives in their hands when they swim in such places.

That is true since I am sure that in all of the beaches there are warnings not to enter the ocean during high tides.

It's a usual thing to thank anyone who has helped. For Freddie, it's his duty and responsibility to save anyone in trouble in the beach. He's bound to do it.

You are right since all lifeguards go through training to learn their craft to save lives.

I hope she learnt her lesson. She's not only putting her life in danger, but the other as well.

You are right since dodging a tragic event will wake up the person who dared to run against the tide.
