Family can be killer(s)

I can not recall every aspect of my dream last night. However, I recall enough to remember that I was : With my dad's side of the family (That is to say, with perfect strangers) Celebrating a holiday belatedly (I assume Christmas because the ground had snow on it) feeling awkward because I didn't know nor really like these people. Given horrible gifts. (That is until they started handing me money) In part of the dream I walked outside of the house and was waiting for someone to come pick me up and take me away from them. Some sort of commotion happened and I quickly realize that someone is out there murdering people. I don't remember if anyone in my dad's side of the family was murdered, but about that time he pulled up in an old mustang with the radio blaring. The dream quickly changed to driving up a mountain and feeling out of control. This was such a confusing part of the dream with so many different scenes that I can't begin to describe it.

You dream a lot and sometimes scary. I seldom remember my dreams but when I can, I write them down.

My dreams lately have been very weird. They normally are, but like last night's dream, it felt like it was coming out of nowhere.

@thelme55 I think you are right. I have been watching television right before bed too which has something to do with it I am sure.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It seems that your brain is so busy while you are sleeping.

I wish I could remember my dreams. But maybe there is a reason I can't. Maybe they aren't good ones.

I have somewhat of a weird question. Do you have a dreamcatcher above your bed? I ask because on days that I spend the night with a friend I do not dream as vividly. There is a dreamcatcher hanging above the guest bedroom there.

@CarolDM Oh okay. I know medicines can interfere with your sleep and cause you not to remember dreams and even outside noise that doesn't wake you but still disturbs you could be the cause of it. You know I'm of the mind that everyone dreams but not everyone remembers it, but I won't discount that maybe some people simply don't dream.

Murders, being out of control. I hate dreams like that. Do you feel out of control in your life?

I've been stressing a bit lately with finances so yes, I think I have been feeling a little out of control lately.

@LindaOHio Thank You. I can pay my bills of which I am thankful, but it doesn't leave me much room for other things. I could ask for assistance from family but I would feel bad doing this. I think one relative knows how I struggle though.
