Cozy Afternoon with Kids

My eldest niece is still in the recovery room so my brother and sister in law has to alternate looking after her and my two little niece and nephew. They cannot bring them along to the hospital so they stayed with me and my daughter at our place.
My nephew soon dozed to sleep. We lounged in my bed under the warm sheets while it is chilly outside. It's dark now and he is still asleep. I don't want the bright 11 watt LED bulb so I lit a candle which is nice.

What happened to your niece.why she is in the hospital? I can't sleep too when the light is so bright.

She had appendicitis. I used to have a Himalayan salt lamp. It has a very calming glow. But it melts when not plugged in to the electric outlet.

Appendicitis which caused infection within her body. Thank you. I hope so too. The doctor mentioned about intestines and that the operation was cut short because of lack of supply of blood in our province. She will be going home tomorrow. I hope she is fine but when I think of that, I get nervous.

I think lighting candles near children is very dangerous, because they move around a lot and can bump into them. It could have started a fire.
