Today at our place is a national holiday to celebrate Chinese New Year, especially for citizens of Chinese descent who live in Indonesia. However, because it is still the Covid-19 pandemic, it looks like there will be no festive celebrations as usual. Many people were forced to stay at home and tourist attractions became deserted because they were closed. How is the Chinese New Year atmosphere in your place today? Note : Picture from Google.

@Babale You're right, we can't change it if things are like that.

Do you live on the island of Java? looks like the Chinese New Year is very different. During the day it did not rain continuously like the previous year.

@Babale Indeed. We need to respect the diversity of differences with other nationalities.

Previously this was prohibited when our country was led by a military president, now it is free after democracy won.

So in the Philippines Chinese New Year is also a national holiday? If so, there must be a lot of Chinese descent living there.

I don't know, I didn't go out today. Most Chinese live in the town. The other day some were selling oranges from shop to shop. I guess I'll be seeing lion dance when I go out around this week and next. But I don't think it will be huge celebration like always as we still have travel ban.

It is better now to stay at home and watch the lion dance from the television.

We don't celebrate because we're not Chinese. However, Florida's been wide open for months, and it just depends on what cities and businesses want to do. The Gatorade twin 150's happened today.
