There were signs of feel-good factor when...

...eating some food served on the table. I always remembered my late father said: "We need to feel grateful and content for having food on the table. Some people are not eating." That's the reason why I tried my best not to be picky when having some meals in the house. It is not good to waste them, too. Do you like eating leftover food? Image Credit: cdn.leadx.org

I never throw food, I try only to cook the quantity we eat, but if there are leftovers I freeze to eat later.

@Shavkat I do not like to eat the same thing several days in a row, this is why I freeze the leftovers, I divide in portions so that I can use also in different ways.

@LadyDuck I remembered my nanny before. She always cooked the same meal for the whole week.

I grew up with my grandma always telling us to only get the food we can eat. We can always get more of we want after we finish the food on our plate. She does not like having left over food in our plate.

It is also the same thing with my late father. One of the house rules is to eat all the food taken on the plate. So we need to take food that can be eaten in one serving. If we can have more, then we can just get more.

It is best not to waste food as much as possible. Eating leftover food is fine as long as it is not spoiled.

It is indeed logical not to eat spoiled food. It cannot be wasted if stray dogs will like it.

The fridge and the steaming method makes left over food as good as new.

I do agree with you. A principle that some people claimed: "It is tastier to have some leftover food."

As much as possible, we try not to have some leftover food. One of the reasons, it can be spoiled due to random changes of weather here.

I deliberately cook extra just so I can put some of the food into single serving bags in the freezer. That way, if I don't feel like cooking, Pretty and I can just pull out whatever we feel like having, heat it up and off we go.

A fridge is really useful to us. We can store leftover food here. I agree that we can have them if no time or not feeling in cooking for the day.

No problem here eating left over food. It should not be wasted and as long as it is not spoiled yet then I would or maybe reheat.

Since I had my medical mission in Tajikistan, some people there cannot have proper meals on their tables. It is a realization that I need to be grateful.
