New Kind of Sale

As a part of the FAA membership we can opt in for discount advertisements.
This means that we agree to let them use a piece of our artwork to advertise on social mediums such as Google Advertising, Facebook Advertising, Instagram advertising...etc. to gain new business.
We can also have our artwork sold on popular art websites such as Designer Prints or Deck the Walls...etc...at half the commission.
In return...if while using our artwork to advertise their website, we end up selling a piece of our artwork then we get 50% of the sale...that they sell at half price.
Depending upon our regular commission...will depend upon the cut we take. Since I set my commission at 30%, and they give me 50% of half the regular price, then ultimately it ends up being sold at 25% of my regular commission. So in turn I only lose about 5%.
To me... A sale is a sale. It is all about promoting and getting our work out there. They are doing all the work, so I don't mind losing a few bucks to get the exposure.
If we opt into their program, it does not me that they guarantee to use our artwork; but if they do...and we sell something, then we earn a piece of the pie.
Well... Today for the very first time, I sold a piece of my art that came from Google advertising. All my sales up until today has always come directly from the website.
I am so stoked about this... My artwork is now being used in FAA's Google advertising venue.
I ended up selling an 18" x 18" throw pillow on my rendition of Judy Garland's Dorothy. I have to say that it looks pretty good.
The buyer came from Lagrangeville, NY. I am so grateful that God keeps broadening my horizons and opening doors to get my art all over the country, and even the world.

Good luck with your new business, do you make the cushions yourself?
