Do you think kids inherit behaviour from the parents or they develop new sets behaviour on their own?

Although you try to raise your children within the frame of your own values, there are too many outside pressures bearing upon them. Ultimately they have to decide for themselves which values they want to have as part of their lives. We always took our kids to church and Sunday School, but as adults neither of them have chosen to do so. Our son grew up eating tons of meat, but during his college years he became a vegetarian. We have to let them be who they are, not who we want them to be.

i think some of them are inherited and some of them are developed by the child himself.. maybe his exposure to the soceity changes his behaviour

I think some kids inherit alot of behavior from their parents. They also pickup stuff from their friends. sometimes the behavior is good and some isn't. It depends on what appeals to the kid as hip and cool.

I think both. I think that in the younger years the kids behavior is more inherited. As the child grows and is out in the world more some of their behavior is developed by outside influences. We can only hope that our influence in the younger years carries through.

I believe it is both. My parents had 5 children & we each grew up totally different. When your young you watch your parents & copy them but you also respond to how they react to your behavior. This reaction differs from child to child & their age group in the house. Then as you age your friends & their behavior have a lot to do with your own. behavior also
