On Holy Week and the pandemic.

It is Holy Monday morning here in the Philippines, currently listening to Tuesday People podcast, An Attitude For Gratitude episode. Last year, it was the time when I observed Holy Week, pretty unusual, we were put on the ECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine), it was those times when I start to feel I am alone, my siblings were not around as what they used to be, no kids running around, screaming, giggling and laughing. Oh the things I miss, and still missing a year later. But on the lighter side, I am thankful that we are all ok, healthy and despite the timing of my sister's major surgery on her breast during the pandemic, she made it through and she's doing great. Despite missing my brother's rank promotion, I am still grateful. Ah, the BEST things I am truly grateful for. What do you miss most? What are you grateful for?

Traditionally we used to have the stations of the cross here in our community but I don't think they are going to do it now

I missed being able to go to church at this time last year. I am thankful for life, salvation and being able to go to church this year. Have a blessed evening.

I'm greatful to be alive and the fact my husband's job didn't suffer. I'm greatful we're all alive. Miss going to see my mother-in-law, but we're waiting for her nursing home to re-open.

What i miss the most when holy week comes are the group of old ladies signing this old scripture near our place. They do it in a manner like as if they are enchanting some spell or something like that. Besides i rarely do anything at all once holy week is up, pretty boring to me but hey my parents told me that it is the time to reflect and to think bout the Lord though

Happy Holy Monday to you. So happy to hear your sister is doing so well. I hope she continues. I only miss being with my family and friends. Everything else was just icing on the cake.
