Survive thanks to online job, can you?

I am a retired teacher, with a master's degree and a lot of years of service, but in my country this is insignificant in terms of the payment received, I earn a little less than 3 dollars a month and so, when I receive my biweekly payment, what It causes me to laugh. I can't buy even a sweet bread. For this reason, I have dedicated myself to job in some online sites, which pay for the accomplishment of micro-jobs or micro-tasks. I was with a very serious company called "Spare five" with which I was doing very well but stopped providing their services. In the same way, I later worked on “Remotask”, which was also very good, but they changed their way of working and it is no longer worth working with them. So now in the absence of those good platforms, I keep "working" with a game page "Runescape", I do not like the type of job very much, but what I earn openly exceeds the allowance I receive as a teacher. I am always looking for more profitable alternatives, but it is not easy. Do any of you do the same? I know there are people who don't like what I do is called job, but what can I call it? If I receive a payment for that and it is what allows me to support my family. Opinions are heard.

I have a full time job offline and a small business. But I still spend some of my free time online to earn additional income. I am also exploring the cryptocurrency world by visiting sites to collect small amount of Bitcoin and using the money I earn online to buy when the price is low and sell when it is high. It can help me in one way or another aside from the fact that I am learning a lot of things just by being online.

I am also a full time employee with a small business. I have yet to fully understand the crypto currency system but I earned something from BTC coins. At least better than the interest you get from banks.

@florelway I have not messed with cryptocurrencies yet, I am thinking of doing it. As for what you say about banks and interests, in this country we are so bad that there is no banking as such, it is impossible for banks to raise capital, invest, give loans and obtain profits. The banks were left alone so that the currency could circulate, credits could not be given because it would be impossible to recover the capital. For things like this, we are forced to seek refuge in online options.

It is true what you say, if we dedicate some of our time to learn and do activities online, we can help ourselves in our finances. And it is funny, that while in other countries they call this type of earnings obtained online "extra money", in mine they represent the contribution of substantial money, and the extra money is represented by what is obtained by official working.

I suppose so long as these things do well for you, you can call it whatever you want. $3 per month seems horribly inadequate, but then I have no idea how far it goes in your country being that the economy is abysmal there.

@profree2019 Are there no offline jobs you can do to get a bit more?

@porwest Friend Jim, yes there are any works of line, but I don't know if you read my previous comments. The problem is that in my country, it is not worth working like this. I told them that being a retired teacher, I earn 100% as if I were active, that is my retirement allowance. With this amount I receive, I cannot even buy a Kg of cheese for example since the price exceeds my monthly allowance and that is being a qualified staff. What I generate today online (it's a simple game on line), openly exceeds my monthly allowance for what was my official job. Anyway, before going out to work, with all that this implies, given the circumstances it is better to do it from home without joking so much.

If I tell you, you cry friend Jim. I just came from buying the food for two dogs that I have. I can't buy processed dog food from them, because of its high value. I bought 3 kg of minced rice (here it is used to feed the chickens), 2 kg of beef skin and I spent my quarterly allowance on that. It really makes me laugh when I count it because it seems implausible, but it's true. I must wait 15 more days to collect the same amount. Not easy.

I have a house of my own and some money left from an inheritance from my mother. My retirement money is a pittance as it is the retirement wages of most Chilean people. I haven´t been able to find a site where I can earn online a decent amount of money.

I tell you that when I retired, I did it by collecting 100% of my salary, and that is how it has been until now. Before the arrival of these people who are destroying my country today, that made it possible to maintain a decent life, relatively comfortable, without luxuries but without many shortcomings. Now, as I said before, what my salary contributes only causes laughter. As for pages that pay something decent, I can tell you that when I worked with Spar 5, it was incredible, in opportunities I managed to exceed 100 dollars in a week, if I did quality work and dedicate a good time to them.

@profree2019 Do you know of any working site now? I know that Venezuela has many problems. In spite of its natural riches, the country has been destroyed. We have many Venezuelans living here now.

@marguicha It is true friend, it is a paradox, a country so rich in resources, converted in 20 years into a miserable, poor country. It can not be understood. Many Venezuelans have had to "flee" to other countries. I swear that I am not leaving because there are many in my family and I do not have the resources. As for what you ask me about a page that generates a good income, I will tell you that at least here in my country we do not have access to many, until now only online games that generate something. I would like to open an account on "Toloka", a site that seems to be good, only that it cannot be accessed from here, I recommend you read about it and if you are interested, log in to see how it goes.

How can you survive with only 3 dollars a month? Perhaps you can try some freelance work. Try selling your services online, like teaching your spoken language to others.

@profree2019 Have you tried Upwork? It should be international. There are many jobs posted there everyday.

@Jlyn10 I've heard of this page, but haven't tried it yet. I'll check, maybe find something that interests me. Thanks for the recommendation friend.

Thanks for the advice, friend Jlyn, do not think I have not tried, what happens is that in this country there are very few options. When you try to subscribe, Venezuela does not appear on the list, or when you enter the phone number, you are rejected at once and things like that. It's not easy, but I try.

That is so sad. I’m a retired teacher, too, but receive a hefty pension every month for life. I’m only on myLot for enjoyment.

I'm happy with that colleague. But it is not my case. I enjoy being here and obviously the money it can generate is not significant. I do it for distraction. I am looking to help myself with activities that are really economically significant on other platforms.

These days people are relying more and more on the internet not only for social media but for jobs especially now during this pandemic. You're earning money with these platforms and it's supporting your family so there is no other term to call it but "your job" or "your online job".
