Visited Cotton at the Park

Took another ride to enjoy this beautiful weather. Stopped by the park. Visited Cotton, the owl. She is such a pretty owl. I have to be quick with the photos, she will turn her head all the way around so fast. Funny to watch her. Felt so good to get out and enjoy the fresh air. The scenery was beautiful. Hope you get a chance to enjoy the day as well.

This one is a beauty. The local park rangers rescued her years ago as a baby in the snow. She can't fly, so they will always take care of her.

What a pretty owl. Back in the later 70's, my ex and I had two barn owls. We recused them as babies from a breeder (he was shut down), and raised them until we could find a sanctuary to take them. I loved having them land on me and I'd feed them calves liver and slowly introduce other natural foods. It was so hard when they were taken to a good place to rehabilitate for the wild.

This one was rescued as baby in the snow. Cannot fly, will always be in the park. But very well taken care of. Sounds like a wonderful experience for you. I would love to do that. I am sure it was hard to let go.

I love that photo of Cotton I am sure she enjoyed your visit, As much as yesterday I got out for a walk in the warm and sunny weather today was a cold dark dreary day with heavy rain all day but then we needed the rain

She is the only one for now. They only have rescued and rehab animals. Most they are able to keep until they are ready to fly. Like the hawk that was there the last time. It is not a zoo. A rehab enclosure. But you can visit like a zoo, from a distance.
