We've done our last burn-off

Yesterday we raked and burnt some of the leaves from the fence-line at the back of the house and also from the drain that runs alongside the workshop. That’s the last of the burning now. The fire trailer has been sold and will be picked up next weekend. This afternoon we hitch up the caravan and take off for Collie to take photos at an endurance ride. We’ll be away two nights but normally we have power and I’ll be able to post. So I’m off to take care of notifications now.

True, in the beginning you'll have plenty to do just to get your new home the way you want it but after that you'll probably have plenty of spare time for fun and adventure.

For a while we'll be busy setting up our new home - curtains, some new furniture, etc. And we'll still be doing out photographic work each fortnight.

So much effort, so much love! I remember burning the brush fire at my dad's mini-farm. One year my dad burned half the house area (5 acres).

@JudyEv i remember those days. My dad would call "come over for Sunday dinner. Oh yeah come early your mom wants to see you." I would get there, he would be waiting, "can you help me with a project before dinner?" never talked to my mom until dinner. because the little project was always 4 or 5 hours!
