Watching a movie

May 17, 2021 5:52am CST
I can't write a spoiler here because I've haven't seen the movie yet. Started watching a movie last night and didn't get too far. I was sleepy and have learned to continue watching is a mistake as I can miss half of it. Do you sometimes sleep when watching a movie? Do you take breaks sometime during the movie or watch your entertainment straight through?

My daughter used to make fun of me when we'd go to the movies. I'd fall asleep and miss most of the movie. Now I just stream them. If I fall asleep and miss part of it I can always just start it over at the last part I remember seeing. (Sometimes it takes two or three times of starting the movie before I actually finish it. )

I've actually stated to like watching movies that way. Before that sort of thing was just taboo in my world. In fact anyone interrupting a movie with conversation would be subjected to the you broke the movie watching law response. Shhhh, can't you see you we are watching a movie here! Okay, it will be allowed if the pause button is pressed if the pause button can be pressed right? Now what do you want to say movie interrupter? Now, it is break time anyone for a snack? Going back to a movie next day? Totally permissible now under the new fall asleep, sleepy head amendment act of 2020.

@mynameiskate When we went to the movies we'd whisper to each other about different things in the movie. At home, when we watch one, we just hit the pause button, too. I like the new amendment.

@mynameiskate No, I've never seen it. (When I watch movies, I prefer movies made for kids.) I've seen odd reactions to movies. It's possible she saw something out of place in the movie so was laughing at the incongruity. (During a Spider-Man movie once, Pretty and I could see the lines that were holding him as he swung through the scene and laughed.... Either nobody else saw it or they didn't realize they shouldn't be able to see it. They didn't laugh.)

I'm not sure if it is a good thing or not so good but I've using the screen as a sleeping pill for a long time now. If I want to watch a movie in full will start it early enough in the evening. Do you finish a movie or?

@mynameiskate It depends. There are times. I can finish a movie and watch another one then fall asleep

@m_audrey6788 Though I thought the movie I was attempting to watch was historically good not sure I want to recommend it. I fell asleep too. lol

I sometimes fall asleep no matter what I'm watching if I'm tired.

@mynameiskate Since I have no car, it's not traffic. It probably depends on the time I go to sleep and the time I wake up.

Yes I normally feel sleepy while watching and I can't force myself at that moment.

I can't watch a full movie at a time . I need to take very long breaks or otherwise movie remains half only.
