I'm married, actually my second go at it. First marriage didn't go so well. Which makes my current marriage all the sweeter. I'm very happily married to a wonderful woman. I feel like the luckiest man alive. The thing is, you'll know when you want to get married- if you have any second thoughts, or "cold feet", then it isn't meant to be. It's so cliche, but you have to go with your heart. I'm so completely in love with my wife, and our relationship is so fulfilling, it can be overwhelming sometimes- if that can make sense. I would have to say my best advise is to be sure that you want to marry the person before you commit to it. In my opinion the vows are really serious, better or worse, richer or poorer, you can't take them lightly. Once you say I do that's it you are committed for life, or atleast you should be.

I don't ever want to get married. It is stupid because it only benefits women. It won't change the amount that people love each other, and it gives the woman the oppurtunity to divorce the man and take lots of his money. I won't get married until the system is changed so i don't get ripped off.

I was never bothered about getting married, i was committed to my girlfriend from early in our relationship but we lived together (in sin!!!) for about 7 years and although we lived as husband & wife and had the opportunity several times to get married, it just wasn't important to us. This year, she fell pregnant with our daughter and the old fashioned guy came out from inside me and insisted that we get married straight away. It has honestly made no difference to our lives (or maybe we just cant tell since we have a new home and a baby to deal with!!!) One thing I have always said though is: "Have a wedding to get a marriage. Don't get married to have a wedding"

I am married but i dont think anyone "needs" to get married. It all depends on the person and if they feel that strong of a connection with someone to dedicate their life to that person. Marriage isnt easy.
