But not the Extravaganza like we normally get. Although there is still a pizza in the works. We're doing a couple of Chicken Caesar salads, a couple of chicken dishes, and a a pasta primavera. It should all be good. Hey, it's Friday, it's the end of the month. We deserve it. The bill? Well, with tip it's around $60. But when I order anything out I ALWAYS go overboard. It's a treat you know. So, why not? Besides, the driver will get a 20% tip. Doing my part to help hurting businesses and get good eats to boot. This is win, win.

Excellent! It is always nice to treat yourself to some good food, and like you say, help businesses at the same time. I love Dominos, don't get it as much as I used to, but it's definitely one of my favourite pizza places in town.

If I were to have a one-two choice I'd put a place around here called Pizza World as #1 and Dominos #2. One thing lacking around here are some REALLY good pizza joints. Across the river in St. Louis there are a few, but pizza is typically not something I ever go to to get. I usually always eat it delivered.

@dilleo Not sure if the deep dish is what I am thinking. There's a place my brother in law always raved about called something that starts with a G that had sort of a deep dish, upside down pizza. It was okay, but I was not entirely thrilled with it. Never been to New York, but have been to Chicago and its outlying areas. Not sure if I have ever really indulged in pizza while there though. lol

@porwest Interesting! Yeah I totally hear that. Have you been to NYC or Chicago before? I've tried the deep dish pizza in Chicago it was good.. Unfortunately I never tried the pizza when I went to NYC but I've heard great things

Wow! Mr. spend your money wisely went for broke? Even with the stimulus checks and free Biden money that would leave a hole in my savings account (just kidding) sort of Well, you only go around this planet once or something like that...

@porwest Yes, mine went into my checking account to use toward necessary home repairs. A small consolation from the tax payments I had to make this year (and I am "far" from rich) Seems the more you earn the more they want to take from you. Now it will be much worse! How else will they pay for their climate change agenda.

@dgobucks226 I always look at it this way. If I am paying taxes I am doing it right. I always still come out way ahead. I make a nice penny, but I also have some good "people" in place to help me find ways to not call it "income." The money I pay them is worth every penny.

All of that "free money" went straight into my bank accounts and investment accounts. I look at it this way. I will definitely have to eventually pay it back. But in the short term it is a bit of a refund from all the tax dollars I have had to shell out over the years to all of the freeloaders in society. I will gladly accept some of my money back. lol

I do it more often now. Gotta help those businesses and workers. It wasn't their fault this sham of a pandemic nearly put them out of business.

Nope. I am not a sheep. Pandemic was fake. Many businesses suffered. I am giving them all the money I can. Turn off the news and bring out a calculator. It will all make sense to you in no time.

@lovebuglena Most food tastes better the day after, and many foods taste better several days later. IMO.

@oahuwriter I don't mind cooking. But sometimes it's fun just to have something different in any event, especially things I am not likely to cook.

That is part of it for me as well. The economy needs our support, and it benefits all of us when the economy is good. So, to me, it's win, win.

The way I look at it sometimes is that sometimes you just have to do something with your money. I work very hard to save it, if I can't sometimes enjoy spending some of it... What is the point of having it?

Sometimes one just needs to splurge a bit. Although, that being said, I will be doing a LOT of splurging in August when we head out to Florida. But that's what we save for, right? Save on the things you need so you can afford to spend on the things you want.

We always go overboard when we order Chinese and get a couple of dinners apiece. We have Chinese for at least 3-4 days. All that sounds good. What time should I be there?

What do you mean there's a pizza in the works? It doesn't sound like you're getting pizza tonight. Most of those folks would be in my no no list for too many carbs and I've been eating too many already without the help of eating out. Plus well be eating out once our kitchen is gutted. I've not had dominoes in years. At first I thought you were playing dominoes tonight.

Well, I did order a medium 4 topping pizza, even though it was not intended to be the main course. I prefer eating in as well, and certainly it is cheaper. Which is a good thing since I am cheap. lol. But I really feel for these businesses and these workers who got shafted during this fake pandemic and I feel it is important to do my part to contribute a little to them. It wasn't their fault they had to go through this. I REALLY feel for the ones who had to shut their doors permanently.

Ever since Covid I have become an even more generous tipper than before. My standard tip was always about 20%. These days it's more like 25%-30%. These people work hard, make my life easier, and I want to compensate them for that.
