Calling me on my day off!

I work 6 days a week ans get every Wednesday off. I don't mind if it switches up.
But today I had my to do list which included planting the herbs/ veggies in thr garden.
i left ny phone inside ans come in to find they called me 6 times. Which normally the logical thing is to call back. The issue is the owner dad called me. This man has been whining all week about everything. He is beyond negative ans blames everyone for anything.
One being my car was hit in the parking lot ans I asked for camera footage. His response you shouldn't have parked there. Like me parking in a bloody parking spot is my fault to go to work.
So after yesterday I'm not answering my phone. Today is my day off and I don't care.

That's how I work! I do everything and he complains. He doesn't even run the place his daughter does.

i think you are right to refuse the phone.call at holiday.You should enjoy holiday instead of listening meaningless nagging.A peaceful holiday can refresh you.have a good day.

I have a portable phone, but don't always take it outside. It doesn't tell me who's calling or how many times they've tried to reach me. I don't always answer the phone, but when I do, it's usually Juanita or some telephone solictor. I can't remember when someone other than that phoned me.

@BarBaraPrz Because her mom will make comment 'at his age' even customers just sort of brush him off. I find they don't leave him alone and he's always obsessed what I'm doing and me.

I don't normally call people or just thr doctor office etc. I'm always at work so I don't answer. But I swear her dad has dementia. He goes from being super nice, to rude ans ignorant. He either super nice or racial comments

@ricki_911 That makes no sense. Why call you and not others? I don't understand why he was rude. I'd be really upset if my boss did that to me.

I get 1 day off. He saw me today and was rather rude that I didn't answer his calls. I mean what's so emergency yo call me on my day off. They don't call other employees on their days off.

@sjvg1976 I don't understand why he is. Not like he hit me qns legal standpoint I couldn't go after thr property for damage as he didn't cause it.

Agree! It's like he defensive and his fault. I know he wasn't here and it was a pickup that hit me. But strange he won't allow it.
