Its a big world and I intend to see more of it

I havent travelled much to date as Ive been raring my children etc.. I do intend to start over the next few years and see a bit more. Ive only been to Spain on a few sun holidays and to Paris and London a few times. What part of the world are you in and would you reccomend I go there. What is the culture like and the prices and the people.
