MOrning all. I wonder how people feel about buying from dog breeders? I am a foster for a Rescue in Miami. BUt I was wondering what puts people off adopting pets from a rescue or shelter, and rather spending thousands sometimes on a pet from a store or breeder. Honest curiosity and discussion:

My cats are descendant of strays. I never buy a cat. I just rescue the ones from the street.

@prinzcy That is so nice of you. Thank you for rescuing strays and giving them a loving home.

I honestly advocate the adopt don't shop policy. Of course, not everyone agrees.

I try not to judge people too much on their choice, but I will say it's heartbreaking to see the number of abandoned pets who offer nothing but love, joy and companionship if only given the chance.

@AnneUser true. Most people thing of pets as toys and playthings that they can set aside when they are tired playing with.
