FTC settlement

I got a letter in the mail with a check today. I read it out loud to my husband telling FTC had a settlement and I was reward with $55.26. I told him I don’t remember having own money to any FTC company. My husband looked it up to make sure the settlement was a real thing and that the check was 100% real.
We agreed this must be for the company which our bed was under when we financed we had paid it off with in the first year of having the bed so we didn’t make very many monthly payments it was under my name which is what the check was made out to. We have had our bed now for 5 years. So I had know idea that they got sued or something.

Hell if I know! All it states is that some people where to believe they had monthly payments at a certain rate but got charged more. Like I said it was also 4 years ago I had paid them off way before a year so I didn’t make that many payments I wouldn’t have know if we paid them more then what they said or not.
The check was sent since my name was on a file some where and they sent me this settlement check. I’ll take it! It’s free money.
