My laptop is pathetically slow. why?

I have been facing some issues with my laptop, it has become pathetically slow. Even if I have updated my windows 10 to the latest version, and also upgraded my Avast antivirus but it still refuses to run faster. I normally put my laptop in sleep mode all the day while in charging, is that the reason for my laptop being so rude with me? ?? My laptop configuration are as follows: Make: Lenovo Ram: 6 GB Processor: Intel i3 5th Gen. Graphics: Nvidia 2GB.

Okay, let's see what we can do to help it feel better... BTW, welcome to myLot. I don't believe I've spoken with you before. 1. How often do you shut your laptop off and restart it? That should be done once a week. It allows the processor to "reset" and refresh the short term memory. 2. Do you do the "normal" clean-up on it regularly? I'm talking about running antivirus checks and spyware scans. 3. Do you run update checks, at a minimum, every month? 4. Do you defrag regularly? 5 Do you run software that automatically scans and reports software problems? The specs are all good ones so your laptop shouldn't be having any problems as long as you take care of it.

@myklj999 Then I hope you're using a program like Advanced SystemCare like I use. Otherwise, I feel really sorry for your poor pc!

@myklj999 You know... It's also possible... JUST possible.... that you can't tell your laptop is... uhm... slow... because Scar takes care of it for you. It's also possible you're just used to how slow it's gotten over the centuries you've owned it.
