What could cause a person to not gain weight?

What medical condition might explain the sudden inability to gain weight? I was on a diet for awhile, lost a lot of weight, which is awesome and I don't want to gain it back, but I notice that even when I'm not faithful to my diet I'm not gaining anything. I'm not more active than before, so I'm really at a loss. I'm not losing or gaining, just staying in the same spot. I wonder if I should have my blood sugar levels checked?

Celiac disease is something I was just recently diagnosed with, its the inability to digest your food due to gluten in your food which is a wheat by-product, people go undiagnosed for years, but yes I'd have your sugar checked as well, hope you're okay.

sedel is right-- you should definitely check with your doctor. i was going to suggest that you speak to a physician about checking your thyroid, but since you are already on meds for it, then your body could just be acclimating.

Over active thyroid keeping your metabolism too high. You can have that checked by your docotr, or you may not be consuming as many calories as you think you are.

Sometimes it takes your body a few days to catch up... try to stay faithful to your diet because it will catch up to you if you dont p.s. on the other hand... it is okay to stray sometimes becasue if you dont give in to your cravings at least a few times they MIGHT get stronger until you catch yourself overindulging
