My pleasure to share another teenager story that used her talents to save the life of a young girl who nearly drowned in a beach in Norwalk Connecticut earlier this month. 17 year old teenage Morgan Saunders who is female was working on her shift at the Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk on Tuesday afternoon. The identity of the nine year old girl is not known. The incident happened when Morgan saw the accident victim on the beach face down and limp as she was sinking into the ocean. Morgan ran 100 yards to the area where the nine year old girl was located. Morgan was able to get the young girl to shore, give her CPR four times until she revived. Morgan stood by the child by holding her hand until her supervisor Alex Horlick came to assist Morgan The young girl was taken to a local hospital the same day. The good news is that she is in stable condition and alert. Norwalk Police Sergeant Sofia Gulino mentioned that the young girl was being watched by a guardian. How the guardian and the child were separated is not clear at this time. Morgan is hoping the meet the family of the young girl that she saved one day in the near future. Morgan started swimming nine years ago. Her work and dedication to swimming and getting her certification in 2020 from Norwalk High School. Morgan was hired as a lifeguard at Calf Pasture through her swim coach Pam Raila who is proud that one of her students is being called a heroine for saving the life of a nine year girl on Thursday.

Morgan is truly a heroine; and the girl is lucky that Morgan was alert enough to save her. Have a good 4th of July!

That is a good question why the guardian of the girl lost track of where she was at the beach.
