I was wondering what is the difference between Ipad and Tablet . I think they both almost the same which a big version of a smart phone either android or I phone. I have amazon fire 7 tablet and it seems to me it's not doing the same job as Ipad

Let's see... the main differences are the hardware and the operating system... which means, virtually everything about them is different. And the Fire 7 tablet is different from either of the other two. It has it's own proprietary operating system.

OK so what you are saying if certain jobs could be done with IPAD but cannot be done with Fire7 tablet. I think that amazon have new more advanced tablets that they can compete with IPAD

Well I have amazon fire7 tablet , probably for 3 or 4 years. I am not too happy with it. Real small internal storage and happened million times that run completely out of space. I purchase a 10 GB external storage Sundisk but so far only couple of things went there. It seems that amazon will not allow it but yet it did slightly worked.

@coolsite I've got one of the Fire Color tablets. Mine has an SD card slot and allows everything I want to save to go onto it. I've stored all my book downloads onto it as well as on the Kindle Cloud. That reminds me... did you get the free ebook site I offered to everyone on myLot? If you didn't, it is b-ok.cc . It allows you to download five free ebooks within 24 hours or, if you give the site your email address, they'll let you download ten free ebooks in 24 hours. It works worldwide. I download the ebooks to my laptop and then use the Kindle app to upload them to the Kindle Cloud. If you have any problems, tell me and I'll try to help you with it.

The OS and the insides are a bit different. It's like iPhone and Android.

The only difference is the OS that runs the device. although, it's really only Apple's trademark, really. Instead of calling their tablets, tablets, they have to put "I" in front of everything and instead of calling a tablet, they'd rather call it a "pad". Why, I'll never know.

They probably have different operating systems, functionality, and storage capacity.

In addition to the structural differences, there are not many differences. Things like price, connections, access to free applications, among others, can be counted among the differences.
