Hey there, everyone. I don’t do these much anymore, but I thought I’d do a Daily Blogging Challenge tonight. I was going for something simple. Day 165: “What is your favorite movie? What is it about?” My all-time favorite movie is "Poltergeist", which is a horror movie that was released in 1982. I wasn't born until 1985, but I've obviously seen and loved the movie. I figured this would be easier for everyone, but here is the plot of the movie from Google: "Strange and creepy happenings beset an average California family, the Freelings -- Steve (Craig T. Nelson), Diane (JoBeth Williams), teenaged Dana (Dominique Dunne), eight-year-old Robbie (Oliver Robins), and five-year-old Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke) -- when ghosts commune with them through the television set. Initially friendly and playful, the spirits turn unexpectedly menacing, and, when Carol Anne goes missing, Steve and Diane turn to a parapsychologist and eventually an exorcist for help." I also enjoy the two sequels and the 2015 reboot. There is a rumor of another remake, which I wouldn't mind watching, but I'm not sure if anything more has come of it. I guess we'll find out in the future. I own the movie on both DVD and VHS (gifts over the years; since childhood); Blu-Ray for the reboot. as well as the book (Poltergeist and Poltergeist II) and movie soundtrack (Poltergeist). My Mom also gifted me with a Poltergeist shirt a year or two ago. It came out of one of her horror movie subscription boxes. What's your favorite movie? Photo Credit: Amazon.com.
