Monsoon season is eagerly awaited and it generally arrives in New Delhi by the end of June every year. However, this year it got delayed by nearly two weeks, causing so much discomfort due to high temperatures and high humidity. Prediction of weathermen did not come out correct, as far as rain is concerned.
However, weather God showed mercy today and it has been raining here since morning which brought down the temperature. At last, there is some relief and we could feel at ease.

There was good amount of rain here in Delhi yesterday, although in some of the parts there was very less amount of rain. Nonetheless, rain helped brought down the temperature in Delhi.

@dpk262006 NO! Here we do not have a rainy season and July is usually the driest month of the year. This is an unusual year.

@LadyDuck These kinds of weather changes are happening everywhere. In May month, when it should dry and very hot for 2-3 days we received continuous rain and even had to switch off the fans.

I think weather at your place remains cooler in comparison to Delhi and you do not experience extreme conditions, like we do.

Happy monsoon
Delhi received rain quite late in comparison to Northeastern parts of India. I never forget how one of the metro stations was flooded back in 2013 (forgot the station name)

Yes, as I mentioned in the post that Monsoon arrived late in Delhi, usually it arrives by the end of June. When there is heavy rains here, some of the roads get water logged causing lots of trouble to commuters.

@dpk262006 I work at Walmart. It's not a bad place to work, most of the time. (Every job has it's good as well as bad parts. We do our best in the bad parts and enjoy the good. As long as it pays our bills, we can put up with a lot.)

It was massive in some part of Delhi, the intensity of rain was different in different parts of Delhi.
