Is there such a thing as an "honor system" anymore?

I still hear people referring to the "honor system" and do myself, but I don't know that I believe that it exists anymore. Morals just aren't what they used to be. What do you think?

No, people aren't quite as upstanding morally as they were in the past. But there are still good people out there. There are honest people who will tell you if you drop money. I guess what one needs to do is try to be the best they can, regardless of how others are acting. If more people act morally and more children see this, maybe the next generation will do better.

I agree that it doesn't exist anymore, in a sense. But we can't point fingers at anyone because of it. I think the best thing to do right now would be to use the honor system personally, and hopefully people around us will begin to notice and do it too.

I guess that's for people who are truly honest 100% of the time. They do exist but who and where are they are anyone's guess. I know a few who may fit into this category.
