I liked The Man Who Cried, Pirates, Finding Neverland, Edward Scissorhands, Blow, Chocolat and 21 Jumpstreet which is really a tv show but I thought he was excellent in it. I've been wanting to see the Libertine though. I haven't had time to watch it.

Best film of my entire life. I am an avid fan of Peter Pan, both the play, the musical and the Disney version. This film blends sweetness, sadness and virtual brilliance. Johnny Depp plays a perfect JM Barrie, a man torn between childhood and adult responsibilites. Barrie himself, mirror Peter Pan a bit of course. If one reads "Inventing Wonderland" by Jackie Wullschlager, it is clear that there can be severl interpretations of the creation of Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, The Owl and the Pussycat and Through the Looking Glass. The problem is one of paradigm shifts. In Victorian England, children were seen as the epitomy of society and romanticized. For a grown man to use children as a muse was not seen as something odd or strange. Johnny Depp shows the perfect balance of reservation and release when he is with the children through his imagination. His relationship with his wife is shown beautifully. I too would have to disagree with the writer that stated that the "real story" of the creation of Peter Pan would diminish the love of this film. Knowing the "true story" simply allowed me to fill in blanks that the film glossed over or changed.

I think the character he did as Jack Sparrow was my favorite of all the ones I have seen. I really like his way of portraying the character. I can't imagine someone else playing that part as good. I saw him in the movie Charlie & the Chocolate factory, and since I got to see him be Jack Sparrow, it made his part in that movie seem funnier. I wouldn't have liked it normally, it was kind of goofy even for a kids movie. I used to watch him when he was on the t.v. show 21 Jumpstreet. I never knew back then he would be such a great actor.

Johnny Depp Jack Sparrow - Captain Jack Sparrow
Difficult to answer this one hun, all his movies have been good and I enjoyed the Libertine purely for his portrayal of a real character from history right down to the worst of the the time period. I guess my favourites have to be the Pirates of the Caribbean series though

I find Johnny Depp is an excellent actor. He can take on differnt roles and excel in them. Not many actors are capable of doing that.I loved the movie Edward Scissorhands. His character role was excellent. And also Blow was an awsome movie.Pirates of the Caribbean the first one was really good. The second one could haev been better.Did you see how it took 30 minutes on a wheel for one scene it dragged on a bit.
