A teenage girl killed for wearing jeans

A teenage girl in Uttar Pradesh has been brutally thrashed and beaten to death by her grandfather and Uncles just because she uses to wear T shirt and jeans. This makes me wonder. Are we living in twenty first century or in some medieval world? Perhaps people were more tolerant during medieval India. Women are often targeted for modern dresses while nobody even bothers about the clothes men wear. Even a fool should know that wearing a sari exposes nearly half the back and stomach, but people here do not have any problem with it. On the other hand, wearing a T shirt and jeans fully covers the body, but people feel it is obscene.

That's sad to hear. I can't really comment much of their mindset on clothing but murdering her over it is just wrong. Were they arrested for that?

Will the killers have any punishment? If they haven´t, maybe it was against the law to dress like that. I don´t know about that culture.
