Do you believe in myths?

August is here. I love this month because it is infact my birthday month plus generally the weather tends to be great however people around me tend to think otherwise. See, August has been named a 'bad luck 'month in my town, since over time many tragedies have occurred immediately the month starts. Of course people have infact come up with stories justifying why it is indeed a 'bad month' with the latest story being that political rivals went to seek extra spiritual powers for their political ambitions and offered up their people as 'sacrifices' through various disasters. Take a good guess when these disasters suddenly occur..... I for one don't believe in this. I can research any month and look for disasters that occured then and decide to label it a 'bad luck month' Do you believe in such myths? Are there myths that are actually true out there?
