The amazing thing about the Bee Gees is they had such a long and varied career that you have to look long and hard to NOT find something that’s likable. I wasn’t a fan of Saturday Night Fever, but my mom loved “Stayin’ Alive” because of its appearance in the film Foul Play. (It was also in Airplane!) But today’s song isn’t “Stayin’ Alive,” it’s from the first era of Bee Gees hits. #8: Words Barry and Robin both said that this song was about arguments. “Barry had been arguing with someone, and I had been arguing with someone,” Robin said (per Picky Wedia). There was a different song called “Words” by Missing Persons in the early 80s that conveyed the same general theme. But without the lovely voice of Barry Gibb.
