Begonias Are Liking the Shade

Started these begonia plants inside. A few years ago I transplanted them into the outside garden. They are suppose to do well with a lot of shade and filtered sunlight.
And they are doing well so far. Love seeing these small red blooms each year. They are annual, but mine returned on their own this year with little maintenance. A little fertilizer each year and that is all they need.
Enjoyed being outside most of the day today. Saw a few surprises I will share another day.
Photo is mine.

Wow
They are nice
I always wondered what they were.called.
One of our neighbours has some of them
I might ask him for a cutting or two and see if I can grow them
Well, Yvonne to be exact

@JimBo452020 I would think so, worth giving it a try...
Water and humidity:
Probably the quickest way to kill a begonia is too much water. Let them dry out slightly between waterings. If they are kept cool, you may notice they can tolerate a longer time without water. Give them a boost of humidity by setting the pots in a pebble tray (a low tray or saucer filled with pebbles and water, with the pot sitting on top of the pebbles and not directly in the water).
Location:
East-, west-, or south-facing windows are best. If any burning occurs when grown in a south-facing window, move the plant farther from the window. As an alternative, they grow well under grow lights. Place where dry air from heater vents won’t blow directly on them.
Potting:
Potted begonias prefer to be slightly root-bound rather than given too much room. Only repot when necessary.

they are stunning! starting them inside, would mean we would never grow them. sadly all things that come into our house pass to the next world.

@DocAndersen SOUnds like a good plan. You can get different colors. I have seen many do the pink, red and white together and it is gorgeous.

Oh now you tell me begonias need shade not sunlight, lol. I made the mistake of locating them in a too sunny spot and they have struggled there. Should of swapped spots where I put the geraniums

@CarolDM Glad to be back, still have some issues here, but the positive more than outweighs the negative, I missed being here. Good to see you're still here.
