Easy Potato Soup for Dinner

Potato soup is a favorite to have any time of the year. And is easy to make as well. I have several recipes. One using the crock pot and a few cooking on top of the stove.
Today I made the soup on the stove. Added potatoes, milk, cheese and seasonings. Sprinkled bacon and cheese on the top. It does not take long to cook.
I will serve it with crackers. I prefer sourdough bread to dip in the soup. But am out of bread today. Will still enjoy with crackers.

@JudyEv That is the truth. Not all but some of the restaurants are raising prices quite a bit, especially of late.
We figured that it is due, in part, to the pandemic and the fact that many businesses were closed down for a while. They are trying to make up for lost time.
Once in a while we treat ourselves but for the most part, we enjoy cooking at home. So, increased pricing is a good incentive to stay in the comfort of our home.

@betlynfrnds We don't eat out too often here either but now we've moved to the city it is very convenient and very tempting to slip out for a meal or to get takeaway.

Jay is crazy about sourdough bread, especially with soup! We don't buy it often, but it's a delicious treat with potato soup, yummy:)

@CarolDM Heading towards work at the PO, Jay sometimes stopped at Burger King for a sourdough sausage&egg sandwich. Now, we make them ourselves! lol

@CarolDM nope, in this case, would rather do it myself I got a bunch of Chunky split pea soup from Amazon It was worth it because I sill have soup however even though the soup is chunky and tasty the cubes of ham leave a lot to be desired

Potato soup sounds good. No Meals on Wheels today; so I will probably have soup...or chicken tenders.

That sounds yummy to me. I never heard of potato soup but it sounds yum and worth a try.

we usually do potato soup in the fall/winter. soup and summer feels too hot to me!

Oh we love potato soup; haven't had it in a very long time. That may change soon, however, after reading your appetizing post.
