Odense Flower festival 2021

The city where I was born arranges a flower festival every year. They always have many beautiful and colorful decorations. This year the theme is beauty and change. I didn't see all of the decorations, but I took some photos of the decorations I passed.
This year they included something I have never seen before - old doors. The old doors were placed between the flowers, and I think they are meant to illustrate the way things change when they get old. The theme was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. Many of his fairy tales are about change. This year's decorations are also meant to illustrate the ever changing beauty of flowers.

I also like the idea. This year the flower festival is a part of the Hans Christian Andersen festival. He was born in Odense, and the festival is a big event. It includes art exhibitions, music, fairy tales for children and many other things.

@Porcospino It is a lovely way to remember Hans Christian Andersen. The most famous children books were written by him and now well known thanks to Disney.

@LadyDuck Those fairy tales were a big part of my childhood. My brother has a book that contains every single fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen. I know all of the famous ones, but the book also contains a lot of fairy tales that I have never heard of.

It is one of my favorite festivals. It is colorful and beautiful, and they choose a new theme every year.

Did you visit many different flower shows? I visit this festival every year. It is always interesting to see what they have created, and they have a new theme every year.

I liked the animals a lot. I found them by chance, they weren't close the other flower decorations.

Some of our roundabouts also have different kinds of decorations, but some people are against the idea because they think that some of the decorations are too strange or ugly. Personally I like the idea.

@Porcospino Because we were driving an Irish vehicle I was closest to the roundabout so it was easy to get photos of them. Once or twice I made Vince go around twice so I could get a good photo!
