August 24 - What I'm Thankful for Today

I'll start by saying what I'm not thankful for today. With all the rain we've gotten the bloodsuckers are fierce. They think I'm dinner as soon as I walk out the door. Needless to say, I didn't get my steps, unless it was with all the packing and sorting I've done today.
I'm thankful for the time in the pool this morning. Another morning with additional time in the pool. That is always welcome. I'll be glad when the lap pool is available again. Today might be my last day at the pool this week. We'll see.
I'm thankful for the work I did in the office. I started with getting rid of the clutter so I can see what I need to pack. I'll finish tomorrow. I know I wanted to finish today, but I still have 15 days. No need to rush when it's almost done.
I'm thankful for Destination Love. I know there will be a lot of work to do when I get ready to publish it. Massive passive voice and too many POVs. For now, I'm enjoying the story.
I'm thankful I got the notifications finished a couple of times and started looking at those I haven't seen in a long time because I've been so focused on getting Vendetta finished and published. I like visiting people I miss here. Are you one I visited today?
I'm also thankful for the things we take for granted, the air we breathe, being alive, food to eat, a bed to sleep in, a computer that works. So many little things the list is endless.

Sorry for the rain/mosquitoes. That would be annoying to get bitten so much by them. The rest of the day sounds good though.
I am glad my son is doing well in school so far...it's only his 3rd day of 2nd grade but the first 2 went well, as far as I know.

We never realize how much we rely on electrical power, until it's gone. Yesterday, our power went out for about 12 hours, yikes! Yup, they got it fixed during the night. I'm thankful for the ones who knew enough to get it back and for the electricity, too!

@just4him That's terrible! One time a squirrel fell into the transformer and blew out Greenville, where my son lives. The squirrel didn't have an ounce of hair and it was still alive!

I'm not sure if you did or not. Sometimes I notice and catch when you do. However, I'll admit that I look forward to the thankful posts you do daily. It is a reminder that there's always something positive to focus on. So I am thankful when I see thease posts.

Thank you for looking forward to the thankful posts. I originally started them in November a couple of years ago because Thanksgiving is that month. I had noticed many negative posts and wanted to show there is a lot more to life than being negative all the time. When I got to the end of the month, many people wanted me to continue. I've missed a couple of times when life got in the way, but I always made up for it the following day.

Right now I am thankful some refreshing rain is coming down, It was so hot and humid, So a rainy night is not bad but there is some thunder and then kittens are running around like crazy
