The greatest benefit of OpenOffice is that it is ALL FREE. There are many who cannot shell out hundreds of dollars for MS Office. Open Office gives all of the basics for free. I always recommend OpenOffice to anyone who says that they cannot use Word or Excel files because they do not have MS Office. I use both and OpenOffice works just find for most tasks.

ms office. it is user friendly.. i tried to open an excel file in open office but there are functionalities cannot be found in it. i tried to open my excel file back in ms office, and i have to re-organized my file. for me, ms office is still better than open office.
