after the Supreme Court failed to comment or act on it. The Heartbeat Law is the law of the land (well state) going forward. . . at least for now. Millions upon millions of US women AND men are outraged and fear for the future of Roe v Wade. This isn't going to stop abortion in Texas. It will just prevent SAFE abortion. Pro-life isn't really so pro-life when you prevent access to safe medical procedures. (It isn't pro-life when you don't want to fund food stamps, WIC, and other assistance programs but that is a discussion for another post) Texas is really on a roll with terrible laws lately. Permitless gun ownership/carry. Mask mandate bans. Now this. I hope this law eventually gets shot down. The "my body my choice" anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers need to realize that the same thought applies to a woman's body and reproductive rights.

It's kind of funny, my body, my choice first started with women. Well, good thing I don't live in Texas, anyway.

Well, personally I look at abortion as something to be done only if it endangers you or your unborn child. But if someone just fools around and gets careless they should take on the responsibility. You see I am talking like a person who lost two children one stillborn and one spontaneous and never had any others so I do not agree with the notion you got loose and you got pregnant so you just abort it,

@NJChicaa I know what you are saying I was not referring that to married people I would hope that if that happened a married couple would want the child after all. I was purely referring to those who play around and do not think of the consequences.

@RasmaSandra my ex husband and I never wanted children. We did everything to prevent it. Sometimes it doesn’t always go to plan

What if you were married and the protection broke? That’s not being loose or careless.

It is a terrible law. A woman should be able to do what she wants with her body.
