what do you think is the hardest thing about starting a new job/career??

tell me.. why is is so hard to transition.. is it nervousness, fear of "doing the right thing"?, is it getting to know your coworkers? fear that you will lack respect from anyone?? its usually exciting also to start a new job.. (not ALL the time:)) but what is it that you fear the most?? why??

For me the toughest part of starting a new job would be fearing what your fellow workers are thinking about you or what they're saying about you.

thank you very much for your response.. i think alot of people feel the same way!.. for me however its moreso if im going to end up doing things the way that "the boss" wants me too!
