Hello from Indonesia Like what i mentioned before in my previous discussion, i work as a teacher in a islamic junior high school. As a teacher i still felt that pandemic make my students have a kind of learning lost both in academic abilities and attitude and it kind of makes me sad as according to regulation here schools can't hold learning process in clasroom for a long time, in my school i only have 20 minutes per meeting and that's really far than enough, yes it's enough if i just inform them the material and knowledge of the subject but it's really not enough to give proper teaching and education

Actually that is one of the inside jokes between me and other fellow teacher We always jokes that before pandemic, many parents in socmed complain about how incompetent the teacher in their school to make their child have high grade or similar things, but after pandemic they know how hard it is to teach Put aside the joke. In teaching , the hardest thing is not the teaching itself but the process to teaching is the one the hardest. Sometimes in class we as teacher found there are few students that have really low academic abilities or too advanced from other students, sometimes we found a classroom where they willing to listen to our teaching already a greatest day for us, sometime we found students that have no will or any attention to education ( they just come to school to get allowance money ) many things and that's bthe hardest job for the teacher, to find the balance in order to make they want to learn That's also why I always said if any parents want their child leap forward in their academic abilities, hire private tutor as many times teacher in school can't give special treatment just to one kid or ine group

@Adimts i used to send my daughter to English course, because in public school they only learned once a week. She studied for almost a year before finally covid19 streaked and baaamm the place was closed. I want to teach her, but i am not that smart.

I have a niece who struggled with online learning. She said it was harder to understand and harder to retain the information, even though she was a good student.

That's because different children have different ways to understand and retain information. Some children only need oral and written explanation, some children need example, some children need direct practice to understand the material

We now realize that working from home has a lot of benefits than working onsite. Additionally, we should work on providing the proper infrastracture in terms of technology so we can continue to provide the needs and services to people. This includes education for the children.

They say this could actually impact generations just a couple of lost years in proper teaching. Its crazy when you think about how the pandemic in general pretty much changed the whole world the world just has not caught up enough to realized it yet. This the stuff the earth does that changes evolution as we know it. How dinosaurs become chickens so to speak literally . People should read up on this stuff. Happening in real time and they a part of something unique sad to say because people do not handle change well. Plus its killing so many.

Nope, it's offline class now, and that's why i only have 20 minutes per class session because of the regulation for pandemic

This pandemic makes my son rarely study. because learning with parents with the teacher is definitely different. We as parents are very concerned about the current state of education. Although learning from home, there are still many obstacles to be faced.
