A child washes up in a high-tide river

The river tide, a child fell and dragged into it from one village to another, and has now died. I hope his parents are patient about it.
Let's protect our children from playing near the river, lest we let our guard down and ignore them playing unsupervised.

Under our laws the parents has criminal liabilities because that is neglect, minors should be accompanied by guardians all the time especially in places that are risky.

In rural such laws are usually defeated by customary and familial norms, rarely do serious charges lead to the realm of Criminal law. Except, the case is as serious as intentionally killing.

Swimming in the river is the most dangerous of all because it would just suddenly rise without any warning and the current could suddenly be strong. That’s why when we were kids, my parents prohibited us from swimming in the river.
