Day 88 1 Kings 8:31 If any man trespass against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house: 32 Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness. Nobody is without fault. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, determines whether the person is good or bad. Solomon continued his prayer to God in the dedication of the temple. He asked God to judge the matter between right and wrong. As Christians, you know you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (KJV) Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Knowing we are sinners we must confess our sins so God will forgive us. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV) Being a sinner doesn’t give you a license to sin, but it gives you an opportunity to correct bad behavior. Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (KJV) Solomon asked God to look on His people when they came to Him and judge the wicked and justify the righteous. He didn’t put the judgment in the hands of men, but in God alone. You know when you’ve done something wrong. Your conscience won’t let you alone until you make it right. Let’s pray: Father, forgive me when I sin. Let the mirror of Your Word show me my sin and confess it so I receive Your forgiveness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 8 September 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay.

Thank you for sharing. Also, when we are tempted to sin, Jesus provides a way out. Have a blessed day. 1 Corinthians 10:13, ESV: "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Yes. That`s true. We must think about it a lot before doing something we will regret doing or our mind or conscience will not let us have peace. I know that people makes mistakes and prayer is helpful. Thank you for this wonderful reminder and prayer. God bless us all

One of the more frustrating things for me as a Christian is the fact that I continue to be a sinful being, no matter how hard I try to lead a sin-free life. But it's not about being perfect and sinless. That's impossible to obtain. It's knowing that our loving God and Father cares about us and has given us redemption through faith in Christ.
