It has been almost a week now that I was not here on Mylot. It has been another busy week for me. I am glad it is weekend now. Hooray!!!
I had baked and decorated my first drip cake for last Wednesdays birthday of my friends’ daughter. I have noticed that although I was and still am busy, I was enjoying making cakes for friends and acquaintances.
The twins who ordered 2 layers of Hawaiian cake for their birthdays a few weeks ago were also in the birthday party last Wednesday. They told me how happy they were about my Hawaiian made cake.
They told me that it was the best cake on their party. Their guests were falling in line to have a slice of the cake.
One of the twins told me that she hid a few slices for herself thinking that she would not be able to eat a slice of it. It was fun listening to them appreciating and enjoying the taste and the beauty of the cake. Well, I have done my best and it was worth it. One of the twins told me already to have the same cake for November. She will still think of the motive of the cake decoration.
The photo above is the one on the birthday party last Wednesday. That was my first drip cake. I was glad that I was given a chance to make that drip cake.
This weekend is just a relaxing weekend for me but I have to finish the articles that I am writing this time. The publisher was already asking for it.
Anyway, I am glad to be here on Mylot again. Sorry that I have not responded to your comments, yet. I will be doing that as soon as possible. I hope your doing fine in your neck of the woods.

The cake in the photo looks delicious.
What is Hawaiian cake? When I think of this term I think of pineapples and cherries. I am sure there is a lot more to it than that.
I think baking and decorating cakes is therapeutic for you.

@thelme55 I'm glad your friends all like that cake. It makes it simpler for you because you learn the recipe and don't have to check the ingredients all the time.

Yes, it was delicious and it was always that cake that my friends kept on ordering from me.
I think Hawaiian cake is something decorated with lots of flowers, pineapples, beaches and very colorful. I didn't decorate it with pineapple frosting as it was not in the order.
You are right. Baking and decorating cake is very therapeutic for me. Thank you @ScribbledAdNauseum

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am glad about that too. I have memorized the ingredients already and just checked them if they are all in every time I make th same cake.

Hawaiian cake is decorated colorful with lots of flowers, maybe beach, seafood and maybe fruits like pineapple. Like the Hawaiian cake that I have posted here on Mylot.

What a nice compliment on your Hawaiian cake for the twins. I remember the picture and how pretty it was.

Well, I had fun until I have accidentally deleted the recipes that I have written for submission. Gladfully, I still remember what I wrote. After almost an hour of rewriting them, I was in Peace again.
