Good afternoon from this side of the planet
It's 1:30 PM here as I write this post. Sun has finally come out after a gloomy and wet morning.
. We had light rain whole night and into the morning. Sun is bright now. I asked my household help to wash the yoga mats and rugs. They are in sun now.
My husband's brother in law stays in Mumbai. He is 66 years old now and survived a bad covid case last year. He went for his regular annual medical check up this Tuesday. And it was found that something is wrong with his heart and was immediately hospitalized. The reports showed that four of his arteries have blockage of more than 95 percentage. He did not return home and was kept under observation for two days in hospital. Today morning he has been taken for his bypass surgery. He is in operation theatre and we all are praying for him. Hope all goes well.
He has been healthy till he got Covid. Off late he complained of breathless and tiredness. It was presumed to be a long term effects of Covid and maybe age factor. But the reports show something else.
Good that he goes for an annual complete medical check up and it was caught right in time.
It's necessary to have regular checkup done. Some illness are silent killers and by the time the symptoms appear, it would be at a progressive stage.

We call it a narrow escape. Doctors think that if it was not found in time, he could have got a fatal cardiac arrest any time.

Oh! Covid goes but leaves a lot of damage back. I have given my blood report and few tests. Waiting on the report. It was supposed to come today but I have not received it yet.
The surgery went well and now he will be sedated and kept under observation for the next 48 hours.

@oahuwriter He is still in ICU. His hemoglobin level dropped yesterday and they had to give him some blood..He would be under close monitoring for some more time and then can be shifted to regular room

Surgery went well and he is under observation for 48 hours. He is on ventilator and under close monitoring. Today they might shift him to regular room in the evening or tomorrow morning. He is stable.

Prayers for him. It would be a testing time for him and his family.
We have started walking more regularly.
I do not look for big 1 or 2 hours always now but go for walk even if I have 15 to 20 minutes available in between.

He is still in ICU. They might shift him in regular room by today evening.
I read it somewhere that doing a bit of walk/light exercise several times a day is good. It might be more beneficial than doing something at a stretch. And it is always healthy to get some movement in between our work.

Thanks for your concern. Yes, I have heard of people undergoing a couple of bypass surgery. There is always a chance of the previous one failing and the arteries getting a clog again.

Praying for your brother in law's speedy recovery. Yes, you are right when you said that we should also have some general check up for us to know our body more.
Covid really has bad effects to those who have them and was cured. I have read stories online. Lets all be safe and practice health protocols at all times.

@Nawsheen He is stable. It's not been 48 hours and as a part of protocol he is still under observation. His BP fluctuated a bit yesterday but was soon in control. All othe vitals are good.
