Difficulty of the pedestrian

India

Since I do not own a private vehicle, I have to walk from the house to the bus stop and also from the bus stop to the bank, post office, market, shop etc.. Walking is really a pleasure earlier, but not now, because of the alarmingly increasing numbers of vehicles on the roads. The sight of the huge cars and bikes is very frigtening . Sometimes, the pedestrians literally have to jump here and there in order to avoid the vehicles. One can only wonder what the traffic condition would be in the large cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Surat , Delhi etc...

I am sorry it is like that with the cars there. Here as well, I have no car as such but I do not want the expense of one. However, it is not too dangerous, but still one must be very careful.

We don't even have proper footpaths in many areas. Many cars are huge in size. It seems people have some competition as to who buys the biggest car.

I know it very well,i have no car or bike, but the town is very far from my village.I have walk 14.9 miles to go to the town. Now the roadway is broke, even if i wanna get in the bus,i also need walk 5.4 miles. It's really a torture for me. When i have to go out,i have to walk at 5.4 miles to get in bus.Surely,i'm an autist,i don't like to see the driver and people in my village. So i often walk 14.9 miles to the town, then i'll get in bus.Because i feel cozy to stay with the strangers.

I don't like walking and I'm afraid of crossing the pedestrian. I try to find another way to cross the street.
