Bath or Shower Every Day? Some Celebrities Say No Way

So, I don't usually follow celebrities, the royals, or famous people. They live in a world I don't live in, so I am not really interested. But lately, on social media, news blurbs, etc. I keep seeing articles on celebrities saying they don't shower or bathe daily, or not very often, or in some cases, not hardly ever. They take baby wipe baths on their pertinent parts. They don't often bathe their babies or small children, only if they see visible dirt on them. So am I weird that I think this is strange? I understand sometimes circumstances keep some people from a daily bath or shower, job demands of traveling, driving nonstop on a very long trip, sitting for long periods in a hospital with someone dying, etc. I get that. But all the time? I don't like going to bed without my shower. I want to climb between my nice clean sheets all clean, it feels so good. But if you are Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Jake Gyllenhaal, Julia Roberts, Russel Crowe, Johnny Depp, and many others, you don't shower often and some never wear deodorant, either. I do understand some live in countries that don't have hot water as handy as others, but...but....Oh.

sometimes in winter it is natural not to bathe as often as in summer. but I might prefer to cook a pot of hot water to wash myself rather than not bathing at all.

Yes, but that is a form of bathing. While I prefer a shower, if that was what I needed to do, I would do that.

That sounds extremely weird! Why would they not bathe? Now I'm wondering if that's really true, but not wondering enough to go look and see if that's made up just to get their names into print again. I don't care what they do. I want my shower every day.

@MarieCoyle I can't imagine anyone who can afford to take baths or showers not taking them. Natural oils are all well and good, but not cleaning them off the body once in a while means they'll have blemishes and bacterial agents sticking around... Gross!

I realize we all sweat and get grubby at times, it's just what humans do. I just want to be washed off every day and I enjoy my shower.

It does make a person wonder. Some claim they want 'natural' oils on their bodies. Maybe they just don't think they can smell bad? Who really knows. I want my shower every day if at all possible.

Good you did not ask anyone here whether they follow what celebrities do. They will not tell you the truth

It's not my business what people here want to do in that regard, I guess I was just shocked that celebrities, most of who have a lot of funds and opportunities and often on public display, would admit to those habits.

@MarieCoyle You are right. Why should anyone bother about celebrities or otherwise.

I like clean people, I take a shower every morning and I take a warm bath most evening before going to sleep.

@MarieCoyle They pretend to do this to "save the planets" because they do not consume water. It is an excuse to stay dirty.

It's just good hygiene and to me it's just what I do. So as I said, I was surprised that people with the means and opportunities don't take advantage of that and take a shower.

Or in some cases, it may be just plain laziness.

It's weird they think this. In the dark ages people believed bathing all over could make you sick. This is just strange that people think this today.

@MarieCoyle I'm sure that was an adventure. Not one you would want to do again though.

Definitely an adventure I will never forget. I think in a way us kids enjoyed part of it. Dad couldn't get to work, it was closed anyway, so he played with us and took us for rowboat rides and we cooked marshmallows in the fireplace, after he cooked dinner in there, too. In retrospect, fun, but HOT outside, so no one really wanted a fire in the fireplace. Ah, memories...

The only time I can remember squawking about it is when I was little and a hurricane knocked out our power for 2 weeks. No power, no hot water. Dad heated water on a metal rack in a big pot so we could wash. There was no other choice, we were trapped by flood waters, you know, water everywhere but not clean water!

I prefer to take a bath daily. Its for my hygiene and keeping myself healthy against those germs and viruses.

I am not changing my habits because certain celebrities want to be grubby!

I need to have my shower in the morning and evening. Without showering, I will not even have a good night's sleep.

I live in a tropical country where bathing two or three times on a hot summer day is normal. If I am an Eskimo and live in an igloo, I probably will not shower for a year. But the Japanese has a solution to everything. They installed warm public bath. Swipes are used only on out of the home escapades like using the toilet in a mall.

I ignore those folks in every thing else. Guess I won't change my habit on this issue, either.

I don't think I would have noticed it at all but some people on Instagram, Twitter, etc. talked about it for days now.

Those celebrieties has enough money (and water I assumed - even hot water) so not bathe in daily is personal preference (or being lazy). Let them, maybe they think even they smell stinks, people still look at their beautiful faces, and care less
