Do You Use Atlas Still?

As a teacher I use an Atlas to instruct my students chapters of geography and history .Not only to teach but I love reading and browsing atlases to pass some leisure time. When I read an atlas I feel as if I am traveling in unknown foreign countries. And for this travel neither do I need a passport nor a visa. It is a thrilling pleasure.
With the arrival of Google map it has become still more exciting. Some teachers of the new generation say we don't need atlases any more. They may be right. With new gadgets in the school an atlas may look obsolete but wait , it still is a friend for a teacher who teaches children of an orphan home like me.

My father bought us an atlas in the 80s along with a set of encyclopedia. It was pretty useful back then when i was a student. But with the internet, I’m not sure my son has ever touched an atlas.

Atlas is my go to book during break time or vacant time at school.
